By Mark Kass – Editor-in-Chief, Milwaukee Business Journal May 19, 2021 The Milwaukee Business Journal has announced the third round of our 2021 Women of Influence winners, a list that includes prominent business and community leaders from throughout southeastern Wisconsin. We announced the first two groups of winners earlier this week and you can see the entire group on our website.
See the slideshow below for photos of our winners.
The third group of winners includes Kathy Thornton-Bias, president and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee; Jodi Gibson, president and CEO of the Zoological Society of Milwaukee; Chytania Brown, president and CEO of Employ Milwaukee; and Dr. Smriti Khare, president of primary care and executive vice president of Children’s Wisconsin.
We announced the second group of winners on Tuesday. Click on the slideshow below to see their photos.
In all, we will honor 28 women as part of the Milwaukee Business Journal's 2021 Women of Influence Awards. These women are the cream of the crop of Milwaukee’s professional community. They’ve grown businesses, created products, inspired future generations, and made southeastern Wisconsin a better place to live and work.
This is the 21st year the Milwaukee Business Journal has honored Milwaukee’s most influential women. Previous winners include Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Dallet, former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Janine Geske, TMJ4 anchor Susan Kim, TEMPO Milwaukee president Jen Dirks, Johnson Financial Group chairwoman Helen Johnson-Leipold, Children's Wisconsin president and CEO Peggy Troy, U.S. Judge Patricia Gorence, and Wisconsin Court of Appeals Judge Kitty Brennan.
The Business Journal received nearly 150 nominations for this year’s program, one of the highest totals we have ever received for this popular awards program.
The winners will be honored in a special section in the July 16 issue and at a July 15 virtual awards event. Watch for more details on the awards event in the coming weeks.
